Never one to turn away from a quick one-liner, Ron is a massive fan of all things comedy and he's got a fair few friends in the business. Here he is with one of his heroes - the very quick witted, puntastic Tim Vine!

Ron is one of the funniest and nicest fellas you could hope to meet and he's joined Coast Community Radio and Media (CCRM) as the company's Commercial and Marketing Director. His role is to ensure the company grows contacts in the Colwyn Bay business world so we can bring in advertising and other revenue to fund our community station Bayside Radio.

He has own promotions and marketing company along with a very thick contacts book and he's in a great place to help the company grow for the good of the community. CCRM is a non-profit community interest company which has been set up to develop an entertaining and informative station for Colwyn Bay. Ronnie is the man to help us achieve our goals.

Ron also has a job with the Holyhead Ambulance Service and along with his presenting and management role on Bayside Radio, he doesn't have much time to sleep! Many people of a certain age from Glan Conwy will fondly remember a young 'Ronnie Stan' serving them in Austin's butchers many, many years ago. He loves the local community and being part of our exciting new project.

Ron lives in the back-of-beyond (all taxi drivers beware), somewhere that Sat-Navs fear to tread with his wife Lynn and his two daughters Sara-Catrin and Becca.

Simon our Operations Director is passionate about radio having spent many years the industry first in Commercial Radio and then at the BBC.

His grounding in radio began at Radio Glan Clwyd as a hospital radio presenter before joining Marcher Coast FM in Colwyn Bay to do some part time work in between his full time job at the Daily Post newspaper. One thing led to another and in just a few months he joined the team at Marcher Gold in Wrexham to present the afternoon drive show covering maternity leave. By this time he really got the radio bug and looked to take his career down the radio path.

A number of radio presentation roles followed in the North West of England before being appointed Programme Director for an easy listening station in Manchester and the Launch Director for a new commercial pop music station in Warrington called Wire FM. The station quickly became one of the most popular stations in the North West despite heavy competition.

The bright lights of London soon beckoned and Simon joined the BBC's Media Planning and Presentation department and was stationed at Radio 2 in what is now known as Wogan House. His role was to work between programming and production at Radio 2 and the marketing and advertising agency teams, to scope out a deliver campaigns to promote the station's output. He then moved to the youth division as Media Portfolio Manager for Radio 1 and BBC Three and mangaged a team of people who delivered award winning industry campaigns for the channels before cut-backs forced BBC Three to close and go online only. He says at the time, he was only planning to stay at the BBC for a year but ended up staying for nearly 17 years!

Following the closure of BBC Three, Simon returned back to North Wales to help his family set up a new business and since the beginning of the year worked behind the scenes with former colleagues and broadcasters to establish Coast Community Radio and Media CIC, the parent company behind Bayside Radio. He also spends his week working at Porth Eirias, doing marketing things and visiting schools and community groups in North Wales encouraging young people to take up sailing and water based sports.

He's married to Dawn and lives in Colwyn Bay with his two stepsons Danny and Adam.

Jeff as you might have heard is the former Mayor of Colwyn Bay but behind the scenes we still like to refer to him as 'The Mayor' as it quickly gets the younger members of our team into line!

We're really proud to have him on board as our Director of Communities and he's tasked with ensuring that Bayside Radio truly reflects the needs of our communities in the Bay of Colwyn and that we truly serve the 30,000 people living in our borough. Jeff's remit is to ensure that the company and the station gives a positive voice to Colwyn Bay and we all celebrate living in an area of Conwy which is on the up and beginning to get it's smile and confidence back.

Jeff is an incredibly well connected chap and has helped the station grow very strong relationships with community organisations and groups such as Coleg Llandrillo amongst others. As one of the Colwyn Town Councillors for Rhos-on-Sea's Dinerth Ward he's always looking at how the radio station can help the community.

You might not know this but Jeff is also an ordained Christian Minister and attends the Penrhyn Bay Presbyterian Church. He has worked professionally in radio too including United Christian Broadcasters amongst others.

He's a proud Brummie and moved to North Wales in 1975 when he was Head Green Keeper of Llanfairfechan Golf Club. He's been married to Kath for 43 years and has 3 children and 7 grand children who all live in the area.
