£500 fine for fake Rear Admiral uniform wearer at parade

Jonathan Carley, 65, has been fined £500 for wearing a Rear Admiral navy uniform and medals at a Remembrance Sunday event in Llandudno without permission.

Carley was charged with wearing unauthorised uniform bearing the mark of His Majesty's Forces at the service in November.

Carley from Harlech, Gwynedd claimed he had received the uniform during his cadet years.

The court found him guilty under the Uniforms Act at a hearing in Llandudno earlier today.
