An air ambulance landed on the A55 bridge in Colwyn Bay earlier ths afernoon after a collision took place on the westbound slip road.

The on and off slip roads were closed for a period and reopened towards the end of the afternoon.

Eye witnesses reported that a car left the road and struck the wall of the slip road.

The condition of the driver and any passengers remains unconfirmed.
