Local officers are taking action after the community in Old Colwyn called for action against speeding cars.
North Wales Police have received a number of reports from members of the public and local councillors regarding motorists speeding in the village.
According to reports the number of incidents have risen considerably in recent weeks.
Area's of concern include Cadwgan Road, Princess Road, Wellington Road and Llanelian Road.
Officers explained the situation some residents find themselves in and the action being taken. "The narrow roads of the village often have cars parked on both sides of the road which reduces visibility for both drivers and pedestrians.
"In the past week we have conducted a speed survey in the village which will become a regular part of our patrol plan. Please help us to keep our streets safe."
