Anti-social dispersal order for Colwyn Bay town centre

North Wales Police has confirmed that an anti-social order has been issued for Colwyn Bay.

As a result of increasing incidents, the West Conwy Coastal division have applied dispersal powers to the town centre and an area that extends eastwards to Eirias Park and the Dingle.

The order will be in place from 17:00 today, Sunday 29 November until Tuesday 1 December at 16:59.

A Dispersal Order means that the Police can ask a group of two or more people to leave the dispersal area if they are doing anything wrong, or if they believe that they may or are likely to cause a nuisance to someone else. The Police may ask you to leave the area and not return to it within 24 hours.

If you are aged under 16 and in the dispersal area without the supervision of an adult after 9pm, the Police may take you home if it is safe to do so.

If you return to the area after being asked to leave by the Police, you will be arrested if seen. This is a criminal offence and you may be charged and taken to court.
