Appeal for witnesses after Pentraeth crash leaves man dead

North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Pentraeth this morning 

Shortly after 6.45am, officers received a reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A5025 (Pentraeth Road) between Pen-Y-Garnedd and Pentraeth Automotive.

The incident involved a grey Peugeot 208 and a gold Audi A5 Quattro.

Sadly, the 29-year-old male driver of the Peugeot was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The 22-year-old male driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries in the incident and was subsequently taken to hospital.

Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I share my deepest condolences with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A5025 at around 6.30am on Sunday, and who may have witnessed the incident - or who may have relevant dash-cam footage - to come forward as soon as possible.
