In a bid to help their local adult hospice, Arch Motors of Llandudno decided to donate the cost of the scrap Metal recycling.
The environmentally-friendly fundraising initiative encourages customers to donate the revenue of their recyclable odds and ends that might otherwise go to waste.
Unwanted metals can be taken to the metal recycling facility on Maesdu Road, Llandudno and turned in to a charitable donation for St David’s Hospice.
Throughout 2021, the local community donated metals amounting to the value of £2,594.24 bringing the overall total raised for the charity to over £10,000 since it started in 2017.
James Wilde, St David’s Hospice Conwy Area Fundraiser said: “Thank you to Arch Motors for their continued support and to everyone who has donated over the years.
“To know that by recycling your metal you can raise such a huge amount of money is truly amazing! Not only are they helping the environment but also the donation will make a massive difference to end of life care to palliative patients across North West Wales.”
Julie Gray, Scrapyard Manager was thrilled with the amount raised and said: “We are very proud to be supporting the Hospice in this way.
"If anyone has any metal they would like to donate to this cause just bring it to Arch Motors on Maesdu Road Llandudno and we will make sure the money goes to the Hospice. We take any metal; copper, brass, lead, aluminium, cable etc and our staff will weigh it for you.”
