Back the Bay! Send your Welsh Cup tie good luck message

Colwyn Bay fans are being invited to ‘Back the Bay’ send messages of good luck to the team ahead of the club’s Welsh Cup tie on Saturday.

The Bay are away to Cymru Premier champions Connah’s Quay Nomads in the quarter finals. This is the first time the Seagulls have appeared in the last eight of the competition since 1992.

And fans can send a message of support to the players by email ahead of the game.

Supporters can send their messages and best wishes to manager Steve Evans and the players by emailing Support@cbfc.wales by Wednesday lunchtime.

“We are expecting a sizeable following from the Bay to make the journey to Deeside and they will be in fine voice to back the boys on Saturday, I’m certain of that,” Colwyn Bay chairman Neil Coverley said.

“It’s fantastic to see the interest in this club and irrespective of the result we can all be proud of our progress.”

Colwyn Bay manager Steve Evans admits his team face a tough challenge against the Welsh champions for the last two seasons.

Nomads also recently won the Nathaniel MG Cup and last won the Welsh Cup in 2018. But Bay caused an upset in the previous round of the competition when they beat Cymru Premier side Cardiff Met 1-0.
