The Seagulls bring their 2021/22 season to a conclusion with a ‘derby’ away day at Conwy Borough on Good Friday (2:30-pm kick off).
Both sides go into the game on the back of good wins last weekend (Conwy winning at Holywell Town and Colwyn Bay beating Llanrhaeadr 5-0) and the game should attract a good end of season crowd.
Bay boss Steve Evans commented: “I watched Conwy’s win at Holywell and they played well, but we’ll go there full of confidence after our last two performances. We’ve one more game to go and we want one more win.
“It’s a ‘derby’ and a big game for the fans, so we want to win for them.
“Since I came in the fans have been fantastic; first class. They’re the ones that drive us on.
“When we had a bad spell during March, following two big cup wins, they were there getting behind us, supporting us through bad times as well as the good – and we are going to need that going forward.”
Conwy, who include former Bay players Cory Williams and Kian Owen in their squad, are unbeaten in two games since Stu Howson took over the manager’s chair from Matty Jones in March, following a run of four successive defeats.
The Bay could secure a top four finish if they win on Friday and should have a good following, with the gates and clubhouse at Y Morfa open from 12:30pm.
