Blind Veterans consult on closing Llandudno rehab centre

The Blind Veterans Rehabilitation Centre in North Wales is facing potential closure due to financial concerns, according to the charity that runs it.

Blind Veterans UK has stated that without cost-cutting measures, the organization may not be able to continue its operations in the future.

As part of their efforts to secure the charity's future, they are considering ending their charitable activity at the Llandudno Centre on Queens Road in Craig-y-Don.

A statement from Blind Veterans UK said: "We will shortly begin consulting with our colleagues on this proposal. No final decisions will be taken before affected colleagues have been fully and formally consulted.

"We are working with our staff members and our blind veterans to ensure the necessary support is in place throughout this consultation and going forward.

"Our focus now is on our staff, the wider community, and our blind veterans who remain our first priority."
