North Wales Police have confirmed this evening that the body found on Blackpool beach is that of Carl McGrath, who went missing along with two other men from the Conwy fishing boat Nicola Faith.
The boat failed to return back to Conwy harbour on January 27th. A large scale sea and air search was conducted but sadly failed to locate the vessel.
In a short statement, officers confirmed that following the discovery on Saturday 13th March, the body has now been identified and have asked the community to respect the wishes of the family at this time.
"The family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. They would like to thank all members of the community for their help and support, but ask that their privacy is respected at this time."
"Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of all three fishermen."
