Authorities in Llanrwst are seeking information about a serious road collision involving a child and a white van on Bridge Street.
The incident occurred on earlier this evening, and the child was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital with severe injuries.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Llanrwst.
"Shortly before 5.20pm today, Friday 10 October, we received a report of a collision on Bridge Street, near to the bridge, involving a child and a white Ford Transit Custom van.
"The emergency services attended the scene, including the Air Ambulance, and the road was closed. The child was then airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital with serious injuries."
Detective Sergeant Katie Davies of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident who is yet to speak to us, to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
“I am also asking anybody who was driving along Bridge Street around the time of the incident with dashcam footage to get in touch as soon as possible.”
