Two sisters, Hajra and Haleema Zahid, drowned at a beauty spot in a national park in Gwynedd last week.

They were with university friends at Watkin Pools in Eryri when the tragedy sadly occurred.

The assistant coroner confirmed the cause of death as drowning, offering condolences to the family at a brief hearing earlier today.

Further investigations are pending as the inquest was adjourned.
