Bryn Elian makes the grade as Estyn lifts monitoring

Colwyn Bay school Ysgol Bryn Elian has successfully addressed issues identified in a school inspection last year.

The school improved teaching quality, self-evaluation processes, and tackled poor attendance rates.

Inspectors say they are satisfied with the progress made, and the school has been removed from the list of those requiring further review by Estyn.

Estyn is the education and training inspectorate for Wales. Its role is to inspect and report on the quality and standards of education and training provided in Wales, across a wide range of settings.
