Colwyn Bay FC manager Craig Hogg says the side must regroup after their loss at Holywell in the Nathaniel MG Cup and injuries to key players ahead of their Cymru North opener.
Captain Tom McCready, Jordan Carrington and Kristian Platt all suffered injuries in the 2-1 defeat last Saturday and along with Gwion Owen will miss the opening league game away to Gresford.
“It’s making sure that we regroup now and shift our attention and focus onto the lads who are available,” Craig said.
“We’ve got to make sure we’ve got a game plan to try and get a result against a very good Gresford side.
“They’ve had a mini reinvention at Gresford in terms of a new manager and new players and the signings they’ve made have been very good.
“I expect them to be up there along with Guilsfield and Bangor City and there will be other surprise packages as well.
“But I’m not too concerned about what other teams do – the focus has to be on ourselves, how we can be better, how we can perform and how we can get results.”
Cai Owen will be suspended after his red card at Holywell but Bay will be boosted by the return of defender Lewis Sirrell, who has been out with a non Covid illness.
New signing Robbie Parry and Joe Williams - missed the Nathaniel MG Cup tie due to personal commitments – will also be in contention.
For spectators, with the easing of some restrictions, it is pay at the gate - £5 for adults and £3 for juniors.
