Llandudno Coastguard were called out yesterday afternoon to a report of someone fully clothed in the sea near the bandstand.

On arrival, the team observed someone swimming and occasionally standing in a comfortable depth.

A spokesperson said: "The person left the sea and made her way up to the promenade, where we were able to confirm that she was well and unharmed.

"This lady had decided to take a dip and, in the absence of a swimming costume, had decided to keep her dress on.
We spoke to the first informant who was very relieved that the lady was safe and well."
