Colwyn Bay FC Manager Craig Hogg and Director of Football Neil Coverley took part in a Zoom meeting with members of the Registered Supporters scheme yesterday evening and praised fans for their support during the last few months.
"Without fans there isn't a club," said the manager, who added that the current situation was frustrating and "had been a side step in terms of the club's planning."
Hogg reported the club had not been given any official date for the Cymru North season to start and said he felt it was unlikely that there would be a return to action until after Christmas - but that there would be a squad ready and waiting to go when the time arrives.
He said he had given permission for players to speak to other clubs - which had been "borderline heartbreaking", but had to do what was right for them and that the door is open for those that have left to return once the club can resume playing.
"We were always going to be victims of not starting the season because our players will always be on the radar of clubs who are able to play," he added.
He confirmed that Jack Higgins had joined from Prestatyn Town and was also hopeful of adding another player before Friday's transfer deadline as there had been approaches from players keen to sign for the club. "Colwyn Bay is always an attractive proposition for players," he said.
Neil Coverley reported that the club was in reasonable financial shape and, on behalf of the board of directors, praised the "phenomenal help" of the Registered Supporters membership.
Neil and fellow director Dilwyn Roberts confirmed they would be meeting with FAW officials during the coming weeks as they prepare the club's Tier One licence application.
Mr. Roberts also confirmed that planning for a floodlight upgrade and installing a new TV gantry - both required to obtain a Tier One licence - were well underway.
