A new treatment designed to help people suffering from dry eyes is now available at Specsavers in Colwyn Bay, offering patients a quick, non-invasive procedure aimed at improving comfort and eye health.

The store has introduced the Zocular Eyelid System Technology (ZEST) service, which is carried out in-store by a trained clinician and typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes.

The treatment uses a natural okra-based gel together with a specialised swab to deep-clean the eyelids and eyelashes. The process removes biofilm, debris and microscopic mites that can block the oil glands responsible for keeping the eyes properly lubricated.

By restoring the function of these glands, the treatment is designed to provide immediate relief from the symptoms of dry eye, helping people feel more comfortable and improving their day-to-day vision.
