Conwy County Council's leader Charlie McCoubrey, is stepping down from his role in October.

Councillor McCoubrey made the announcement to his fellow councillors yesterday.

He became the leader in May 2021, following the departure of Sam Rowlands who is now a member of the Senedd.

The council will now start the process to elect a new leader following established procedures.
