Conwy Feast will now be cooking up a treat in May next year

Sadly the annual Conwy Feast is one of the latest casualties of the Coronavirus pandemic as organisers have revealed that this year's event will no longer take place this Autumn.

Instead the event will be moving to a new date in Spring at which point it is hoped that the world famous Welsh food festival will be able to operate again on the grand scale which it has done so for the past number of years.

In a statement on social media, Conwy Feast has said that the Welsh Government restrictions on live events and the need for all visitors to maintain social distancing has made the original October event an impossibility.

However a new date has now been pencilled in on the weekend of 22nd/23rd May. Organisers say the move will bring a fresh outlook to the festival and kick start the beginning of an exciting summer season in North Wales.

The Conwy Feast is one of the most anticipated events in the county calendar and attracts many thousands of visitors to the quay and to various locations in the town.

The annual celebration of food, music and art is famous for their passionate promotion of local Welsh food and drink, wine tasting, demonstrations and activities which encourages young people to get into the kitchen and turn their hand to cooking.
