Darren Millar holds seat for Conservatives in Clwyd West

Darren Millar has held the seat of Clwyd West for the Conservatives in the Welsh Government elections.

11,839 votes were received with Labour at 8,154, Plaid Cymru at 5,609 and the Liberal Democrats at 1,158.

Mr. Millar is a committed Christian whose interests include reading and history. In the Fourth Assembly he was Chair of the Assembly’s Cross-Party Group on faith, and the Cross-Party Group on the Armed Forces and Cadets - both of which he was a founder member.

He has served as a member of Conwy County Borough Council, the North Wales Police Authority and the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Mr. Millar was brought up in Towyn and educated at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, Abergele; Llandrillo College, Rhos-on-Sea; and Glyndŵr University. He lives in Kinmel Bay with his wife and two children.
