Statistics Wales has reported a significant decrease in serious crashes on 20mph and 30mph roads in Wales, the lowest since records began.

The Welsh government's 20 miles per hour policy has led to a 19% decrease in collisions on these roads in 2024 compared to 2023.

Welsh police forces recorded 3,993 collisions with incidents on these roads resulting in 1,751 casualties.
