Dwr Cymru says water supplies have been restored in Conwy

Water supplies have been restored to all effected Conwy homes after a major disruption caused by a burst pipe at a treatment plant in Dolgarrog.

The "catastrophic incident" affected around 40,000 homes leading to school and business closures.

Welsh Water has been working over the past two days to repair smaller leaks and bursts as a result of bringing the water back into service. Emergency carriageway work was carried out overnight on Monday on a burst water pipe on the A55 westbound near to Conwy Morfa.

If you spot a leak or have concerns about your water supply, please get in touch with Welsh Water via their website or call 0800 085 39 68.

Bottled water will remain available throughout the day at Stadium CSM in Colwyn Bay, the West Shore Car Park in Llandudno and at Zip World in the Conwy Valley.

This will continue until it has been establiished that all premises and communities have had their water supply successfully restored in areas reporting leaks or intermittent supply.
