Election counting gets underway to decide local Conwy seats

Counting has begun in Conwy's local elections to determine the councillors who will represent our communities in the local authority and town councils.

Following the closing of the polling stations last night, the count has begun across Wales to fill 1,160 seats across the country's 22 councils and for the first time, 16 and 17 year olds are eligable to vote.

As the seats are confirmed you can get the latest updates for Conwy by visiting this page on the Conwy County Council website or by clicking through to the results in the Bay of Colwyn.

Bayside will bring you a special programme on the local elections in Wales and what this means for our North Wales communities this Saturday morning (7 May) at 7am with Kai Davies and Taffy Osborne.
