Colwyn Bay FC have announced the disappointing news that a much anticipated match with Liverpool FC's Under-21s has been cancelled.

The club confirmed this afternoon that Saturday’s friendly against had been cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control.

A spokesperson said: "Liverpool have informed us that a number of their Under-21 players have been called up to the senior team.

"Details on refunds will be given shortly but we understand how disappointed fans will be that the game has been cancelled".
