Bad weather and heavy rain has been causing problems for the region following a weather warning which was issued yesterday and had been extended to midnight tonight.
Flooding has been reported across the area with concerns now moving towards incidents in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. As a result of heavy rain which broke yesterday afternoon from about 5 o’clock, firefighters and police received calls from concerned members of the public.
Lighting struck property and woodland just outside Llanrwst last night and there was reports of heavy flooding particularly in Llandudno on Conwy Road around Asda and the retail parks and also on Church Walks near the Kings Head pub. Witnesses reported seeing heavy levels of water flood out of the tram station.
North Wales Police warned motorists to be careful as the regions roads saw 10mm of rain fall over a relatively short period yesterday. The bad weather has continued this morning with heavy rainfall expected until at least 3pm today.
