Motorists on the A55 are being warned to watch out for a fuel spillage on the A55 which could heighten the risk of skidding.

Traffic Wales reported the incident just before 9am on Thursday morning and it is expected that traffic will be reduced down to one lane until the road is treated.

The problem is affecting the A55 between Junction 22 Old Colwyn and Junction 24 Abergele travelling Eastbound.

Gritters are reportedly on the scene although it is not known how long it will take to clear the road. Motorists are asked to slow down and be particularly careful between these two junctions.
