Pupils in North Wales have received their GCSE results today, with options including sixth form, resits, jobs, or apprenticeships.
Top grades have decreased in Wales following the end of pandemic support measures. A* to C grades are slightly lower than before the pandemic, with 62.2% compared to 62.8% in 2019.
Education Secretary Lynne Neagle stated that the results are as expected, similar to 2019.
In a special online message, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Education, Cllr Julie Fallon, congratulated all learners and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Cllr Fallon said “It’s my pleasure to congratulate all our learners throughout the County on their achievements in this year’s GCSE results.
“I’m sure learners will join me in thanking their teachers and school staff who have assisted and supported them throughout their school life.
“I wish all learners the very best as they decide on their further education, training and future careers.”
