After receiving confirmation there’ll be no restrictions on the crowd for the much anticipated Welsh derby,  North Wales Crusaders Chief executive Andy Moulsdale is aiming to attract another strong crowd to Stadiwm Zip World.

It’ll be the second time Crusaders have played in front of fans at Stadiwm ZipWorld and, while the clash with Keighley Cougars a couple of weeks back was restricted to a 500 capacity, there’s no longer any limit meaning a potentially large crowd for the game between North Wales Crusaders and West Wales Raiders on Sunday August 1st.

Even though supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance for the Welsh derby, they’ll now be able to pay on the gate on matchday.

Andy said: “The response we’ve had from fans both old and new has been extremely positive so far. We nearly sold out the allocation for the Keighley match and the atmosphere was as good as I’ve experienced since I’ve been involved with the club.

“It was a fantastic occasion and it was nice to hear such positive feedback from people who were watching us for the very first time.

“It’s difficult to find value for money like rugby league for just £12 and tickets have already been selling well for the Welsh derby.

“It’s a fixture we always look forward to and it’d be great to build on the crowd we had for the Keighley match.

“A lot of work will be going in over the next week or so to engage with local people and organisations and encourage them to experience professional rugby league.”
