Grants to support Conwy firms forced to shut go live tomorrow

A fund administered by Conwy County Borough Council to provide financial assistance to businesses that are facing operational and financial challenges caused by the national lockdown in Wales opens this Wednesday.

The purpose of the fund is to support businesses with cash flow support to help them survive the economic consequences of the restrictions put in place.

The grant will be open to applications from the 28 October 2020 and will close at 5pm on 20 November 2020 or when the fund is fully committed.

The link to apply for either grant will be available on the Conwy County Borough Council website from tomorrow.

The fund consists of two separate grants: Lockdown Non Domestic Rate Grant and Lockdown Discretionary Grant. Each has different criteria applied to them.

The council has stressed that all applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis and this may lead to applications not being processed after they have been submitted if the fund is fully committed.
