North Wales has been hit by hours of heavy rain overnight and into this morning creating difficult driving conditions.

Localised flooding has been reported on the Colwyn Bay promenade, around Nant Peris in Gwynedd and on roads in Abergele.

Natural Resources Wales are now monitoring higher than normal river and sea levels, and have issued amber flood alerts for the lower Conwy Catchment area, the River Conwy between Gwydir Road, and the B5106 and for the Anglesey catchment area.
