'Horrific' dog attack results in death of three ewes

The Rural Crime team at North Wales Police are investigating a horrific dog attack on livestock in the Conwy Valley.

On October 10th at around 10am, an attack occurred in the Eglwysbach area. The injuries to the three ewes were horrific, and all died as a result of those injuries. Officers said there was no doubt that the ewes would have suffered terribly during the attack.

A spokesperson said: "It is the time of year when ewes are brought down from the mountains and closer to civilisation ready for winter and as such it is the time when dog owners are once again reminded to keep a close eye on their dogs to prevent incidents of this type."

In respect to this attack, if anyone has any information which could help North Wales Police in identifying the dog/s responsible, then please get in touch on 101 quoting Q153118 for the attention of PC 3675 Ian Nicholls.
