An inquest in Ruthin has found that a missing 16-year-old boy on holiday in Llandudno died from drowning in the sea.
The teenager, Athrun Lombardo, who had complex needs, was last seen wearing blue swimming shorts before going missing.
A post-mortem examination revealed drowning as the provisional cause of death.
The family from Bristol were visiting relatives and staying in a nearby Air B&B during their time in the town.
The inquest was adjourned, with a recommencement date to be fixed.
