Lifeboat station host carols, a choir and a crew for Christmas

Llandudno Lifeboat Station successfully hosted this year’s Christmas Concert at the boathouse in Craig y Don over the weekend.

Members of Llandudno Lifeboat Station's operational crew, visits team, fundraisers, water safety team, shop volunteers, community members, supporters and family members came together on Sunday afternoon for a service of readings and carols interspersed with performances from Cor Meibion Colwyn.

With boats and gear moved outside the lifeboat house (but still fully operational) some 160 people, including 40 choir members, were able to enjoy this popular event which had not been possible since 2019 due to Covid.

The service, possible through the hard work of station volunteers, support from the choir (and chairs from Venue Cymru, Llandudno's theatre) took place in cold temperatures but a warm atmosphere and was followed by hot drinks and a time of relaxed chat.

"Within an hour of the end of service, the boathouse had been almost miraculously restored to its normal operational state!" said a spokesperson for the station.
