The Seagulls claimed their first win in the JD Cyrmu North with a 2-0 home 'derby' success against Llandudno in front of a bumper crowd of 770.
That's the biggest crowd for a league game at Llanelian Road since they played Chester in the Blue Square North in 2012/13 (1,463).
They had to survive a good start by Llandudno, who twice went close in the opening minutes with Rob Parry heading a great chance just wide, but gradually settled into the game with Damien Ketley side-footing a good chance wide from Tom McCready's run and pass, before taking the lead on 41 minutes.
Llandudno keeper Shaun Pearson did well to smother a Mitch Bryant shot away for a corner, bit from the flag kick, Julian Williams was brought downb after a great turn inside the area and Tom McCready scored from the resulting penalty.
Three minutes into the second half it was 2-0 with Julian Williams heading in from close range from a Tom McCready corner.
The Bay, who had to start without Daz Thornton due to a family commitments, had to replace Mitch Bryant at half-time due to illness and then pulled off Sion Edwards due to a groin and hamstring niggle. But they went close to increasing their lead with substitute Joe Chaplin side-footing a chance wide from Julian Williams' excellent run and cross, while Morgan Owen twice brought good diving saves out of Shaun Pearson.
Craig Hogg had to change the shape of his side when Llandudno went to four up front in the closing minutes, but the players responded well to keep their first clean sheet of the season, with Andy Coughlin showing a safe pair of hands with everything that came his way.
The manager said afterwards: "Two goals, three points, a clean sheet in a 'derby' in front of 780 people - you bet we are pleased with that!
"The most important thing for me was that we were much better with the ball at our feet than we were at Llangefni in midweek when we were poor in possession.
"It was important we got a reaction from that today.
"Llandudno started well and could have scored early on, but once we had weathered that opening 15 minutes I thought we took control of the game.
"The second half was a case of game management because it was important not to concede and let them back in it.
"Julian Williams got man of the match and deserved it. He has come in worked hard, played well and is our top goalscorer with two goals in the last two games so I'm delighted for him.
" I was also pleased for two other local lads Toby Jones and Joe Chaplin with the ugly work they had to put in for the team, but everybody had to up their work rate when Llandudno went to four up front in the second half and I was delighted with how we responded to that challenge.
"It is easy to forget we are only nine weeks into a five year project. We are still gelling and knitting together as a group and I am still learning as a young manager, but I feel we are making progress."
