Local politician Darren Millar is urging residents and groups in Conwy county to participate in a research project on community transport.
Commissioned by Conwy support organisation CVSC, the project aims to understand the current needs and challenges of community transport in the area.
Encouraging local people to take part, Mr. Millar said: “Community transport schemes provide invaluable services to many rural and elderly residents, who would otherwise be isolated.
“The provision of community transport services is far from ideal currently, and I am pleased that this is being looked at with a view to improving services across the county.
“For CVSC to gain the most accurate picture of the current situation, it is important that people engage in this research and make their views known. Services can only be improved if those operating them have a clearer picture of the current landscape and future opportunities.
“Better community transport results in fuller lives and equal opportunities for everyone, it is therefore important that we help make it happen by engaging in this research.”
Anyone wishing to contribute to the research project should email elganowen@cvsc.org.uk.
