A local politician has expressed her shock at news of significant damage caused to a Llandudno school.
Aberconwy MS Janet Finch-Saunders was commenting on reports that significant damage has been done to the rear of Ysgol Tudno over the weekend.
Mrs. Finch-Saunders said she had been made aware that numerous windows have been smashed as well as significant damage being done to the school’s outside learning environment.
She said: “This senseless act of vandalism and destruction is truly shocking and is not an accurate representation of the young people of Llandudno or Aberconwy.
"Ysgol Tudno has served our community for generations, providing outstanding education to hundreds of children and young people every year.
"The school and its building are an iconic part of our town’s history. As such, it is truly disgraceful to see this important local building being targeted in this way.
"I am committed to working with the school and relevant authorities to ensure that appropriate safeguards are put in place to protect the facility from future damage.
"All our children have the right to receive their education in a safe and secure school free from such mindless acts of vandalism.”
