Multi-agency operation targets Blaenau Ffestiniog shop

A police operation involving several agencies has led to the seizure of items from a retail premises in Blaenau Ffestiniog following concerns raised by members of the community.

Officers from North Wales Police’s Blaenau Ffestiniog Neighbourhood Policing Team worked alongside local and national Trading Standards teams and Immigration Enforcement officers to execute a warrant at the premises on Monday.

A number of items were seized during the operation, with police confirming that enquiries are continuing as part of a wider investigation involving linked premises across Mid and South Wales.

PC Hughes said the action highlighted the importance of information provided by local residents.

“This is an excellent example of partnership working and how information received by the public can assist North Wales Police and partner agencies in taking action against locations creating concern to the local community,” he said.

Police are encouraging anyone with information or concerns about the sale of illegal products in Gwynedd to contact North Wales Police or Trading Standards. Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The investigation remains ongoing.
