The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) has successfully secured a new Watch Station on the West Shore in Llandudno, providing crucial water safety support.

The new larger station has been delivered, and is being kitted out at the Dale Road car park.

Politician Janet Finch-Saunders praised the team's efforts in securing the new station for Llandudno, emphasizing their vital role in ensuring the safety of fisherman, sailors and tourists.

She said: “Llandudno NCI make a genuinely invaluable contribution to the safety of fisherman, sailors and tourists.

“In addition to thanking all the team for their amazing service, I cannot applaud them enough for their fantastic work to secure a new Watch Station.

“I know well the effort they have put in to raise funds, and the challenges faced with securing planning permission, but they have done it. They should be very proud”.
