RWE, the developer of Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm, has deep historical roots in North Wales and has invested in the region significantly in recent years.
This includes helping to develop the supply chain to build projects like Gwynt y Môr and Clocaenog, building a strong local workforce at Mostyn and Dolgarrog and the community benefits packages associated with the projects they operate.
Awel y Môr, a newly planned wind farm off the Llandudno coast, will be investing in supply chain activities as they move towards construction. They would also like to build on their legacy of working with local communities.
At this early stage they are looking to hear your views about how this new offshore wind farm could best support your local community.
The consultation, which will run until April 4, consists of a short questionnaire. The aim is to help guide othoughts about how Awel y Môr can best support communities, and what the overall guiding principles for a community benefits package should be.
A spokesperson said: "This is a new project and we welcome the opportunity to consider new and different ways in which we might be able to work with and support the local area.
"We are also encouraging local people, county councils, community and town councils as well as voluntary sector groups to get involved to ensure the broadest possible response."
