A contraflow system is now in place on the A55 at the Conwy Tunnel due to a crane fire in the tunnel yesterday. The tunnel's eastbound carriageway is affected, with the westbound side closed off.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and plan extra time for their journey.
Yesterday's closure saw a multi-agency response underway following a major incident on the westbound A55. The fire was reported at 13:48, and emergency services worked together at the scene.
North Wales Police confirmed that there has been no fatalities
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said yesterday: "We are aware of the severe disruption that has been caused and that traffic along the A55 has been affected."
"We thank the public for their continued patience and cooperation as agencies work together to manage the situation safely and effectively.
"We anticipate that there will be disruption for the next few days, and motorists are being advised to allow additional time for their journeys and to keep up to date with the latest traffic and travel information via Traffic Wales."
