North Wales has the most newly reported COVID-19 cases

Just under 44% of all new cases of COVID-19 tested in Wales have emerged from the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board region in North Wales according to the latest bulletin today.

Out of 185 new reports, 72 cases were in North Wales. Conwy county accounted for 9 new cases and Denbighshire 3.

The region reported the highest figures from any health board in Wales . The second highest was Hywel Dda Health Board in the South which reported 33 new cases.

Overall in Wales COVID-19 cases testing positive have hit 13,169 with 6 newly reported deaths contributing towards a fatality number of 1,260.

Health leaders and North Wales Police have reminded the public in North Wales to remain at home over the Bank Holiday weekend and excercise the highest standards in hand washing, hygiene and social distancing when required.
