Betsi Cadwaladr, the health board responsible for the vaccination programme in North Wales, has confirmed that the majority of people aged 80 or over have received their first dose.
However to ensure that nobody in the highest risk group is missed, people over 80, or people who are aware of family members in this age group who have not been contacted, are urged to call the vaccination booking centre to arrange an appointment.
This message aimed at the over 80s only who do not have a first appointment and the health board has urged other age groups not to use this number to try and book an appointment.
The opening hours are from 8am to 8pm. The lines are very busy with the best time to call, late afternoon, or evening before 8pm.
A spokeperson said; "We are sending invites out for vaccination in order of priority, according to national recommendations. We will repeat this process for different priority groups in due course to make sure everyone has had an opportunity to be vaccinated at the correct time."
The telephone number for the vaccinations booking centre is 03000 840004.
