Venue Cymru will bring festive cheer to families across the Conwy area with a different initiative this Black Friday.

From 27 November to 2 December 2024, every ticket purchased for this year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, will see another ticket donated to Conwy Family Centres as part of the “Pay it Forward” campaign.

With a cap of 150 tickets available for donation, the campaign aims to ensure that families who may not have the means to attend can still experience the joy of live theatre this Christmas season.  

Conwy Family Centres, a cornerstone of community support in the region, offer essential resources, guidance, and activities to families facing various challenges. Their work fosters stronger family connections, improves well-being, and enhances children’s development by providing safe and nurturing spaces.

The centres’ partnership with Venue Cymru exemplifies how local organizations can work together to uplift those in need during the holidays.  

“This Christmas, we want to ensure that we could bring the magic of panto to those who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity,” shared Amanda Guy, Section Head: Venues Management.

“By working together with our audiences and Conwy Family Centres, we can spread the joy of this magical production even further.”  

TV presenter Ben Cajee has today launched this exciting initiative with a special video shared across our social media platforms. In the video, Ben highlights the importance of spreading joy and making a difference this festive season, encouraging our community to get involved in the "Pay It Forward" campaign.

His enthusiasm and support for the cause have already generated a wave of excitement, as he invites families to join in and help make this Christmas a magical experience for those in need.

Alongside Ben Cajee, actress Jennifer Ellison, and the hilarious John Evans, also be featuring in the pantomime which will run from 7 December to 29 December 2024. Jack and the Beanstalk promises an unforgettable adventure filled with laughter, music, and festive sparkle – an experience that encapsulates the magic of Christmas.  

This campaign offers a chance for theatre-goers to make a difference while enjoying one of the year’s most anticipated productions. Whether it’s a family tradition or a first-time visit to a pantomime, every ticket purchased will contribute to spreading joy across the Conwy community.
