Police 999 overloaded with non-emergency calls

North Wales Police have asked the public to think before calling 999 in response to Covid-19.

In the past few days, non-emergency calls to the police control room in St. Asaph have been overloaded with calls, many of which have been general enquiries about the virus and other non-life threating information.

They have asked the public to seek general medical information including advice on social distancing and new guidelines relating to non-essential travel on the relevant website including Public Health Wales and local authority sites.

For non-emergency issues please use the webchat and email service www.north-wales.police.uk/contact
