North Wales Police has once again joined forces with Amazon to provide emergency support for people fleeing domestic abuse, helping ensure survivors have access to essential items during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
As part of a national initiative, Amazon has donated 30 emergency grab bags containing everyday essentials for adults and children escaping abusive situations.
The bags, which will be available at police stations across North Wales, include toiletries, a mobile phone, writing materials and comfort items to provide immediate practical support and a sense of dignity for people who have been forced to leave their homes with little or no belongings.
The initiative forms part of North Wales Police's ongoing commitment to safeguarding victims of domestic abuse and ensuring they receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.
Detective Sergeant Sally White said the donation would make a real difference to those facing crisis situations.
"We are incredibly grateful to Amazon for their generosity. This donation will help us provide practical support to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities at a time when they need it most.
"This will assist officers to provide an excellent service to victims of domestic abuse in line with our force priorities.
"The grab bags offer more than essential supplies – they send a powerful message that survivors are seen, valued, and not alone.
"Leaving an abusive relationship can be one of the most frightening and difficult decisions a person will ever make. Victims often leave with nothing more than the clothes they're wearing, so having immediate access to essentials can make a significant difference during those first critical hours.
"Our message to anyone experiencing domestic abuse is clear: you are not alone. Please reach out to the police, and we will work closely with trusted safeguarding partners to ensure you receive the protection and care you deserve."
An Amazon spokesperson said the company was proud to continue supporting the initiative.

Domestic abuse can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or background and can include physical violence, coercive or controlling behaviour, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and financial abuse. Victims often leave dangerous situations at very short notice, making access to basic necessities an important part of their immediate recovery.
North Wales Police works closely with specialist domestic abuse services, local authorities and safeguarding organisations to protect victims, assess risk and bring offenders to justice. Initiatives such as the emergency grab bags complement that support by providing practical assistance while longer-term safeguarding arrangements are put in place.
The force is encouraging anyone experiencing domestic abuse to seek help. Anyone in immediate danger should always call 999. If speaking would place them at greater risk, they can use the Silent Solution by dialling 999 and pressing 55when prompted.
