North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision on Maesdu Road, Llandudno.

At around 3.30pm yesterday, officers received a report of a road traffic collision involving the driver of a Honda Jazz and a pedestrian near to the pedestrian crossing on Maesdu Road, between the junctions of Ffordd Las and Cwm Place.

The casualty was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A spokesperson said: "We are urging anybody who was on Maesdu Road at the time, who may have witnessed the collision, or that may have dashcam or witnessed an elderly female walking on Maesdu Road from the direction of the Links roundabout towards Ysgol John Bright, to make contact with us as soon as possible.

"Any witnesses are asked to contact officers from the Roads Crime Unit via 101, quoting reference number 23001209795."
