Police appeal as Jewellery is stolen from Kinmel Bay

Police are appealing for information after a substantial amount of jewellery was stolen from a property in Kinmel Bay.

The burglary happened between 10pm on Friday 16th August and 7pm on Sunday 18th August.

PC 3089 Danielle James said: “The elderly victim has had a substantial amount of expensive sentimental jewellery stolen, some of which is quite distinctive and may be recognisable from the descriptions.”

“We are keen to hear from anyone who knows where the jewellery may be as it would mean the world to the victim to get even one item of this jewellery back.”

Among the items stolen were: -

Recognition of service medal. This has a short blue and red striped ribbon, the medal itself has the Queen’s head on it and it was either Gold or Silver in colour.

A gold chain necklace with a starburst pendant, image of a lion's head, specks of black in the gold.

A jade necklace, beads alternated with gold stoppers

A gold necklace with individual gold drops like sun rays (see below photo)

Pearl earrings with gold drops

A gold engagement ring with five alternative sapphire and diamond stones across the top.

A gold ring with small oval shaped ruby garnet surrounded with diamonds.

A necklace made up entirely of flowers, like blooms all the way around and made of silver and crystal.

A set of hoop gold earrings, curved clasp. In the hoops there are three stones set apart from each other.

A gold, 5 bar bracelet

A gold bracelet approximately one inch wide with two solid, curved pieces that clip together with a hinge in between..

A silver bracelet with round stones; each a different colour such as brown, turquoise and green.

Numerous other gold, silver and pearl necklaces, rings, bracelets

Pc James added: “I would like to urge the public to be vigilant for anyone attempting to sell this jewellery and to contact me with any information they may have.”
