Police and emergency services were called to an incident this afternoon at a Colwyn Bay school.

Following what was thought to be a report of a knife on school property at Ysgol Bryn Elian, Police were scrambled and began a search.

It has been reported this evening that a knife was recovered although the exact detail of where it was found and who was involved, has yet to be established. Officers are said to be making further inquiries.

Pupils were asked to stay in classrooms whilst the building was secured.
