Police seize 'drug dealing paraphernalia' in Old Colwyn

Officers from West Conwy Coastal, supported by the Central Targeted Activity Team and Special Constables, carried out two search warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act yesterday in Old Colwyn.

A statement confirmed that a quantity of cannabis, cannabis edibles, cash and drug dealing paraphernalia was seized. Two men were arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

PC 3037 Lee who is Community Beat Manager for the Old Colwyn area said; “Some people believe that cannabis dealing is a minor offence, however, it causes harm to our community and often has a greater impact on the most vulnerable, specifically those suffering with mental health problems and children who become victims of County Lines and Child Criminal Exploitation.

"Police and partner agencies regularly deal with the repercussions of cannabis misuse, which can be far reaching. Whenever there is sufficient evidence to take enforcement action against suspected drug dealers we will, to ensure our neighbourhoods are safe and to help make North Wales a safer place."
